How much should I spend on a good 144hz monitor?

All these $160-$180 monitors I see is mixed in bad picture quality, dead pixels, ghosting and I dont want to spend like $250 for a 144hz monitor. Any good suggestion for a 144hz monitor under $200 or more?

at that price range, nothing wrong with an old-school TN panel like the LG UltraGear 24GL600F-B[www.amazon.com] or the Sceptre E255B-1658A[www.amazon.com].

edit - just noticed the MSI OPTIX G241[www.amazon.com] whcih does have an IPS panel...

I had an AOC IPS monitor 27", very slim bezel, probably the best monitor i owned, not 144hz though.

I always use the display port on all my monitors, preference of choice, but that's mine.

You get what you pay for OP, if you want to cheap you'll get a monitor that just won't stack up, IPS is fantastic for viewing angles.

idk i guess its preference on whatever monitor everyone likes. Not sure between the whole TN vs IPS debate. TN is the best type of monitor to look for if you dont mind the bad color scheme and viewing angle while IP panels bad in what way/

IPS has better color and similar response, but it doesn't display blacks as well as VA does. VA, however, has absolute garbage response.
