Why is my DigitalStorm computer's performance getting slower?

alright so i have been downloading useful stuff in general for my computer, like for an example Sony Vegas Pro, Audacity, you name it, i only have Audacity just for developing games and it is a recording studio program, it is very useful but only right after i have downloaded these items my computer kinda went slower, like for an example the network is weird now so whenever i am downloading a game now i always see my computer being stuck on "966.5 KB/s" and then like ♥♥♥♥ing 10 seconds later it says "960.5 KB/s" and i am like what the hell?!, why is my computer acting up?!

and i was also trying to use Disk Cleanup earlier this morning, and the ♥♥♥♥ing thing wouldn't work because it was still trying to clean up my damn disk!, like damn! it was 50% and it wouldn't even move the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ green bar!, WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ IS MY COMPUTER ACTING ALL ♥♥♥♥♥♥ SINCE IT IS A POWERFUL GAMING COMPUTER?!, yeah gaming computer my ♥♥♥♥♥ this thing wouldn't even do anything and now i am experiencing lag when downloading ♥♥♥♥♥♥, please help me out i am so frustrated that my computer is being autistic please help me, my computer has aids or something because it is really acting up and i am so overwhelmed and worried for my poor gaming PC, since it won't even download things faster and isn't fast when i was cleaning up my damn disk.

i don't really understand what you're trying to tell me, please simplify what you mean by "reputated" sorry if what you've said was incomprehensible, i would love to answer your question.

alright the useful stuff is mods for games mostly, like the Sims 3 mods and installed content i have saved, and the Amnesia The Dark Descent custom story mods, and i also have WinRAR installed i have .exe setups saved in my D: drive, WinRAR hasn't caused any problems though i have downloaded it from the safer site not the Softonic or Download.com bullcrap, i got WinRAR from here http://www.win-rar.com/, and i also have Counter Strike Source skins for weapons, and i have Half-Life 1 and 2 skins for weapons and Half-Life 2 maps, i have Crack-Life and Jamie's Mod,

for those of you who don't know what Jamie's Mod and Crack-Life is, they are Half-Life 1 funny mods, i have multiple .exe setups which are Audacity, lame_enc.dll (which is for making MP3s for Audacity), Notepad++, Sony Vegas Pro, and Quik, Quik is a GoPro program which allows you to upload videos from your GoPro and in this case yes i do have a GoPro, but i have never installed Notepad++ or Quik, i already had media/videos in my Quik account and stuff, so i think i am okay but my computer is just running a little sluggishly,

and currently where i live in California it is mostly cloudy here, which probably would be the cause of the network issues i have right now, so what could possibly be wrong?

P.S. i don't have lame_enc.dll installed either.

Audacity and other usefull things should be loaded from reputated sources. So you dont get something else with it.

As you loaded them and then problems started, its best to get that out of the way first.


There are tools like bleachbit and ccleaner which can handle trash on the pc. (Make sure you know what you do before doing it)

yeah but i did get Audacity from fosshub, and fosshub was actually where the real download link that Audacity came from, i don't need those tools because i am afraid they also contain malware, viruses, and PUPs i don't trust those websites and i refuse to download stuff like those, i can already take full control of my computer and can use disk cleanup and defragment and optimization for my drives, one software that can clean up stuff is what i've already got, and i don't really trust CCleaner so sorry.

nothing really, all you can do if your computer is overloaded with software running in the background, then you can tell because then it would say for an example, "50% memory and %40 CPU".

Disk Cleanup takes time if theirs a lot to clean, chances are you didnt give it enough time.

Saying powerful gaming PC doesnt tell us what your actual specs are

And downloading things has nothing to do with how fast your PC is, it has to do with how good your connection is.
