NVidia 3D Ready games; equivalent option for AMD 2xx and 3xx series GPU's?
My question is, for all games in general but mostly NVidia 3D Ready ones, is there an AMD equivalent software that does anaglyph 3D for ANY games?

To rephrase / re-iterate:

With AMD 2xx/3xx series GPU's, has there ever been 1st or 3rd party software released for them that creates an anaglyph effect; (3D using RED/BLUE method) ???

Please remember that OP is about the possible existence of aforementioned hardware having a means of producing frames with the anaglyph effect, and NOT:

- Is it worth it.
- How high or low quality the effect is.
- Whether you would suggest doing it or not.
- Your opinion in general.
- Crazy external hardware that creates anaglyph effects.

Don't mean to sound rude, but a lot of my posts have de-railed in the past, before the actual question was ever even acknowledged by readers / forum users.

So far I know AMD has the "HD3D" tech.

Unfortunately, HD3D is a "sterescopic" 3D effect, similar to what movie theaters have with the black glasses. This Technology is similar, in the sense that it displays alternating images (right eye frame, than left eye frame) super fast (or blends them linear-ly line by line), and the glasses make sure each eye only sees the frame rendered for that eye specifically, however that technology requires a 3D capable monitor and the special black glasses. AMD's list of approved monitors here:

... verifies that this option requires additional hardware. My interest in anaglyph is because of this. I lack a proper 3D television or monitor to use this type of stereoscopic option. I can however; using Trinus VR; enjoy VR side by side output which is similar to Google Cardboard, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift video output. One of my games, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" has an in-game option to enable Sterescopic Side-by-Side, and I play this game in VR frequently and it is a blast, along with Titanfall, and Black Ops III. However this is unrelated to my particular interest in anaglyph, which only requires that you have RED/CYAN or RED/BLUE glasses, which I do indeed own.

I was wondering if the R9 200/300 series GPUs have a way to render output in this fashion:

3D is already dead and gone, why waste your time with it.
If you want a nicer setup, do a 21:9 Display; or 3x 16:9 Displays

Because I want to? Who cares how god awful it is, I'm well aware of how horrible it is in comparison to "real" 3D and VR. I, as an individual, want to experience anaglyph PC gaming. I missed out on it because I was active duty in the military, and now I want to go back and revisit it because it is something I personally find amusing and fun. I am also well aware of what a "nice" set up is, and I already have a monitor solution for my needs in the works. This isn't about me trying to keep up with the Jones', and experience top of the line cutting edge entertainment, this is about me re-discovering something I wanted to experience in the past and was never able to do. I am now disabled, and have nothing better to do than tinker around and play around on my PC most days. Kindly refer to the OP about de-railing a thread to interject with personal beliefs. I don't give a wet fart how far technology has come, I am more aware than anyone. I used to play "Rad Racer" on my NES in anaglyph 3D, I know how old and sharty it looks; but I still want it. That's like telling the guy down the street how "dead and gone" the Lincoln Continental is. Who cares. The guy likes his car because of the suicide doors and that's that. If he wants to experience his turd because it makes him happy that's that, leave him alone, lol.

Get an NVIDIA GPU + 3D Vision Display then

That would be the easiest option yes, for someone with "eff you" money, which I do not have. On a side note however, I have read that a lot of people are unable to use NVidia 3D since their GPU model #'s became 3 digits anyway. I'd have to purchase an outdated card probably, and hope to god I don't run into any other issues such as compatibility with Win10 etc.

The bottom line here is, I am not purchasing anything else for this. I want to know, and ONLY want to know, if there exists a program which is AMD GPU compatible that will produce the same anaglyph results AS the NVidia 3D Ready drivers, for the 2xx and 3xx series GPUs. If it is IMPOSSIBLE to play games in anaglyph using AMD 200/300 series GPUs, with no additional hardware, then so be it. HOWEVER..... If anaglyph is achievable by four-digit model numbered NVidia GPUs, than an R9 390x can EASILY achieve this. I know there is no OFFICIAL way of anaglyphing a game with an AMD card, I am really looking for a 3rd party software, as hardware is not necessary for anaglyph. If the NES can handle it, I'm sure I can lol. It's simply a matter of someone whom has encountered such software seeing this thread and posting a link or company name.
