My System Specs: What Can I Upgrade To?

My Specs:

GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Intel Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz
15.93 GB RAM
1280 x 720, 60Hz

Can I upgrade to the GTX 2080 and should I upgrade to an Intel Core i7? So far all I've upgraded is the RAM (used to only have 8 GB).

OP already has GTX 1060. Just 3GB. So this "upgrade" (about 10% performance difference) doesn't make any sense.

overclock your processor to 3.5 seeing as you have no water cooling this will keep it running at top turbo speed with" hopefully" decent temps.if not a k series just set to high performance in win power options settings

As you noted i5-7400 is non-overclocable CPU. So this also makes no sense.

dont know what your trying to prove but.not knowing the difference between 3 gb and 6gb card pretty much tells the story.and also stated if its not overclockable so nothing you say is valid at all.so read and then come back with a little knowledge.

It's just an extra that doesn't cost any extra. Doesn't matter if it can be used or not.

Monitors get a bit personal preference wise so your best bet is to go down to best buy and have a look at the floor model.


I sit close to mine so 21.5" looks sharper vs 24" and I can see the pixels on the 24" if I lean in a touch. 27" to me would have some big assed pixels in it.
