Can't Extract or Open .ISO files
I used to be able to just regularly extract .iso files using winrar but for some reason now it doesn't work. I'm always greeted with the message "No Archive Found" or something along the lines of it being damaged or corrupted (when I know for a fact it isn't because I've redownloaded the same .iso file multiple times and also from different websites). So then I tried to use 7zip to do the job, but it also ended up failing. Then I tried to use PowerISO, but I got the same result again. All in all I have no idea what i'm missing or what i'm doing wrong, but for some odd reason it doesn't want to extract or open with anything I use. If anyone could help me fix this you'd truly be a life saver.

Sounds like corrupted Registry, where it doesn't even know what an ISO file format is.
Win95/98/XP users used to get viruses all the time that would wipe out file associations for things like EXE; which royally screwed up the OS.

Try a Registry Clean using CCleaner; then reinstall an app like WinRAR and click the boxes for File Associations during installer.

then your download was somehow corrupted.
if 7zip, winrar, winzip, poweriso, and other zip file managers report the same 'damaged archive', then most likely the iso file is corrupted.

compare the hash of the downloaded file versus hash on web.

on the event same hash is found, maybe your antivirus is the real culprit as it 'jails' files from the archives once the iso file is accessed.

Have another method because I just searched if CCleaner was safe, because the last time I remember using it, it wasn't and they don't recommend using it's registry cleaner function.

I know for a fact that it isn't corrupted because it even happened with other .iso files I downloaded from different websites and it gave me the same message. I'm gonna try and reinstall winrar aswell as disable my antivirus while downloading and trying to extract that file.

Its about the most safe cleaner there is, hands down.
Everything from Piriform is free, safe, zero bloatware or adware, and fully works to a "T"

have you tried using a download manager?

my own personal experience regarding 'damaged archive':
i cannot download directly libreoffice suite from libre office website because i always have a 'damaged archive' no matter what web browser i used.
i have no problem downloading the suite when using DAP free download manager or using torrent to download libreoffice.

Might I ask, how large is the file download?
32bit Browser can't handle over 4GB files.

Try Chrome 64bit

Disabled antivirus, redownloaded winrar and still no luck. I literally have no idea what i'm doing differently.

@bmg, libreoffice suite is about 200mb+. i have no idea why i always have 'damaged archive' when directly downloading it from libreoffice, techspot/filehippo mirrors but no problem downloading the torrent or via download manager.

@m_riggz, have you tried downloading the iso thru another device (smartphone, tablet, another PC)?

what iso file? (content, version software, used for create) or link?

if you can't direct dl, but can via torrent \ dm = you have bad, unstable connection or died router \ modem
check it, by bypass router + make tracert -d > c:\trcert.txt and ping -t >c:\ping.txt (post content here)
+ if your ISP have bad dns, try use google or open dns.

All I did was google "7 zip" then I clicked either the first or second link then I downloaded the version at the top and selected my appropriate bit version.

You will need to re-assign that file type with with whatever software you use with this file format. I'm sure you know how to do this, yes?

Yeah after I reinstalled winrar I made sure to tick the box to associate with .iso files and it still didn't work.
