any way to trick computer into thinking monitor is different max resolution then it actualy is?
so, I have 2 monitors, but not the same resolution nor aspect ratio. My main monitor max resolution is 1280x1024 and sude monitor is 1024x768. My graphic card is AMD, but doesn't support AMD's multiple display gaming, but I have found an alternative. The problem is, it cuts part of the game and some important commands in the menu, and some important GUI elements. If I lower down my main display to the point of secondary, it get's realy strange, and FOV is unplayable and everything. I was thinking to trick my computer to think second display is same as 1st, and that I can easily disable it when not playing. I know it would make everything on my right screen smaller and stretched, and less immersive, but I don't need it to be immersive, just functional, so I can seethere. I would use that for driving games, so that extra bit of FOV would be extra helpful while driving, because I'm using steering wheel so moving cam with mouse is not an option, and if I set a hotkey on a wheel, it is unefficient and slow, and I always crash while trying to look right

Use Custom resolution rather than DSR or VSR. Both NVIDIA and AMD has this.

You can also overclock monitor refresh rate via custom resolution AND even FreeSync range if you do custom resolution via CRU instead of NVIDIA/AMD's.

If you had a Nvidia I'd suggest you look into DSR to upscale the resolution. Not sure if Amd has something similar.......hopefully someone else can confirm whether they do.
It kinnda does, but I have tried and doesn't work for me

Amd has "vsr" Virtual super resolution.
Vsr let's u set the resolution on desktop and in games.

so, if I set it higher, it is not supposed to appear in windows screen resolution customatisation? Just in-game? That would explain why windows didn't let me to set it higher in settings. and don't think it would work because In the way I found(it's not a program, don't quite know how to call it), I specify resolution, and doesn't care for in-game settings.

VSR only supports hd resolutions. So he's out of luck. Just buy some cheap 2560 x 1080 if you want an ultrawide. Cheapest in newegg is around $160.
I think both NVIDIA and AMD devices can do this...you just have to make sure that the GPU is set to display the desired resolutions rather than the display.

Custom resolution, not VSR. There will be either stretched image or black bar. It also depends on the monitor.

DSR/VSR are just simply resolution scaling. Custom resolution allow changing most aspect of the display IF it can do it. You can even customise FreeSync range or expand it.
