What the hell is happening with Nvidia GPUs prices?!
800$ for 1070 and 900$ for 1080 in my country, also all 1060s are sold out.

mostly shortage of ram chips for vid cards

price went way up as they refit for the next GPU's

so all thats left is what is already built and packaged will command a higher proce till the refit on the memormy foundry places are done and next gen cards are being made

so yea places will price gouge the cards they have in stock ..so it's not all just miners

pascal will be over taken by Nvidia volta with new ram chips and new GPU's

so they can compete with the next gen AMD GPU's ..this happens every couple of years

This is a real pain, I would like to buy 50 more 1080's for mining but can't find any for a decent price. I'm just getting one here or there when they pop in stock at this point in time.

The real culprit is here nVidia/partially AMD, not miners. Even if they buy a lot of GPUs per person, the ammount of miners compared gamers is minimal.

Just shortages really. Miners are only interested in AMD cards really.

Bitcoin has rocketed in value, which also effects all the other crypto currencies and mining, so now even more GPUs are being bought for mining
I think more or less this.
Ethereum is like 1.1k € right now up from 350. I guess it will be much higher in the future and miners buy every half decent gpu to profit on the crypto-hype....

I don't care who's "fault" it is, the product is Nvidia's. And if Nvidia can't or won't sell me a reasonable graphics card, via whichever company, then I'll end up going back to AMD. Haven't had an ATI/AMD card since a Radeon HD 5770.....

LOL.

AMD is even more overpriced and out of stock. Worse yet, AMD does not sell direct like NVIDIA.

You guys coulld buy em cheaper at Nvidia's official site but they're usually out of stock.
