I mean hey, if it's a couple years old and out of warranty, how is that the makers problem.
Gaming on Laptops is bound to kill them much faster, regardless of which Laptop you buy.
Well, you would expect that a bloody 2300$ laptop last longer that 450 days before it becomes a paperweight right?
I was expecting a reply from Asus like "not a problem, that it's really unusual, our 2.5K gaming laptops are the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ top, we will repair it" But they talk to you like if they were selling 20$ toasters (which they last way longer)
It's like if I buy a car and they ask me for a one year extended warranty, like.. C'mon man!? Who builds cars that don't last more than a bloody year!??
Am I on drugs? Or I'm the only user that expects a laptop lasting more than a year?
I will mate, Asus it's lava. XD
I've got an Asus ROG "paperweight model"
With a dead graphic card.
Asus said. 450 days, "good luck mate"
Anyone having issues?
Thanks for sharing.
:)
My new ASUS keyboard looks totally different as it was shown in the webshop (even on the box) Guess they are generally dropping the QC lately.
But never had rly probs with Asus so far. (mobo/gpu)
*But if it's broken, u could use the warranty..
**nvm, only 1 Year, but if u have the money for an asus rog nb, why no warranty extension? ..
However,i have to say they have awful support and tehnical service . I live in Croatia,in Zagreb - Asus don't have a single service center who is able to fix possible issues with my monitor - if something happens, ill have to send it to Czech Republic .
Have an Asus mobo for my A10-6800k apu (an F2A85M-Pro). USB ports on the back died after 2 years (the front headers still work). Ran 1.44v on a mild overclock (to 4.4 Ghz) and it's still solid. Not happy about the usb thing, but good vrm on an FM2 board wasn't that common when I built the rig 3 years ago. (I've since upgraded to a Core i5 on an Asrock board.)
Have an Asus Direct CU II R7 260X (it was my primary gaming gpu for 2 years). This is the third one, after I had to rma the first two. Not sure what is different about it, but I beat on it hard with all manner of games, and it's tank-y. Underpowered these days of course, otherwise I'd still be using it as my primary. (The rma thing led me to switch to MSI for my latest gpu. Not interested in rma'ing multiple times to get a working gpu.)
Currently using an Asus VH-236H monitor, have had it for four years, very happy with it, haven't had any problems (touch wood).
