[SOLVED IM JUST DUMB] PC is making an annoying whining/whirring noise on Idle.

This started happening today after i tried overclocking. So i went into my bios (I have an ASUS Z170-a idk if that matters) and did what this Linus Tech Tips guid told me to, and everything worked fine, i bumped up my i76700k from 4ghz to 4.5ghz, ok. But then i tried to bump it up to 4.7, and the pc didnt like that. So i reverted back to normal and now my pc is making this whirring noise on idle. Idk if its my watercooler (Corsair Hydro H60) or another fan in my pc case.

Most likely the H60, which BTW is not good enough for any i7 out there.
Go with something better, like EVGA CLC 280mm

Sorry i fixed it, i flipped around one of my case fans, it wasnt the water cooler. Crap i need to get a diferent cooler?

It could be but I'd diagnose everything that has a fan, but for my personal recommendation, I'd say a noctura air cooler and thermal paste covering the heatspreader (metal thing on the top of the CPU.)

Ok, yea doesn't hurt to check each Fan if you're having odd noises.
Not jumping on H60 just that those tend to not last long and do tend to have noisy pumps at various times. Install the Motherboard Software and the Corsair Link Software so you can control your Fans, H60, etc.

H60 is fine for low overclocking. I wouldn't advise attempting >4.5Ghz with it unless you got a golden chip that can do high clock at very low voltage.

AIOs have a lot of ways it can break, so I'd ether get a water cooling setup from EKWB, or get a big noctura air cooler for with air coolers if the fan breaks, it's not useless.
