Im getting a better price than that :)
Well I have them running side by side all day, so I'm fairly content with my suggestion, say whatever you wish.
You seem to argue every single thing I say do, or that AMD is crap; why input yourself at all if that's how you really feel. Feeling have zero to do with anything in these conversations, period.
Whats your budget for the Desktop build ?

In this setup the 1400 / 580 system is still 50 british pounds cheaper than the 1700 1050ti.
Take 1/2 of the 50 pounds or dollars and get the 1600. I have a FX8350 w/RX470 and it is fast enuff in everything at 1080 & very hig settings. If anything I am gonna get a new AMD graphics card next spring.
ANyway the site userbenchmark is awesome. millions of PCs archived. Put 1 together & u see how it really runs/ran.
Even if yta get the 1400 it is 20% or more faster than mine & the 8350 is fine. An overlocked 1400 competes with an I5 that is 75$ more, anyway good luck.
AMD R7-1700
Aftermarket Cooler like Noctua AM4-ready
MSI B350M MORTAR or ASUS X370 PRIME
2x8GB DDR4-2666
M.2 SSD + SATA 7200rpm HDD
GTX 1060 6GB or better
Win10 64bit
the r7 1700 paired up with the gtx 1060 6gb only leaves a bit less than 200 on my budget. That's just a tiny bit out of my price point.
Thanks so much. Didn't know about that website :)
For gaming the 1400 is a lot faster than any FX, not 20%. 1600 is even better and "future proof". 1400 comes with a crappy little cooler (stealth), not enough for Overclocking. 1600 comes with Spire which goes a lot better.
But if you can afford Ryzen 1600 or 1600x, both are brilliant CPUs. They compete with i5-7400 and i5-7600k respectively and despite Ryzen has lower gaming performance (in most games insignifically lower), it MUCH better in almost all modern content creation apps. If you going to start streaming, choose Ryzen.
I think I've decided which build im going with. Thanks everyone :)
not true. fps isn't as high as 7700k, but certainly not trash.
