How do i switch from my intel 630 to nvidia 1050
My computer has an intel 630 graphics card, and a nvidia gtx 1050. I dont know how to enable my 1050. I bought this laptop at best buy with everything already put on there. It was not a custom build

Plug the monitor into the gpu

Normally when you plug a graphic card into the PCIe slot it is automatically used in place of your integrated Intel graphics. Of course you need to connect your monitor to the graphics card, not motherboard video port. If that does not work, check your BIOS or UEFI settings about the on-board graphics.

Under your Nvidia control panel. You can choose the preferred graphics processor.

Ive done this with all of my games. I did that on a vr test to see if i can use a vr and it shows that i am still using the intel after i switched nvidia to my preffered.

Walk me through how you switched the setting.

I went on to my nvidia control panel and went to program. I clicked on all of the games that i want to use gtx 1050 and hit add then hit apply.

I have you tried setting it to High-performance NVIDIA processor under the global settings? Then you can set the apps that you want to use the intel graphics later on.

Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Global settings > Preffered graphics processor > High-preformance NVIDIA proccessor

hey guys,i look everyware( i dont write and speak verry good english) so this is my problem i set the game from steam on Manage 3d setting (program setting) and i set tp high-perf Nvid Processor and after i look at Task manager to see Nvidia geforce GTX 1050 and i see the GPU 3D its always 100% but my dedicated GPU memory its stay at 1.6/4.0 and the Share GPU memory stay at 0.1/3.9 and Utilisation its 100% and GPU memory stay at 1.4/7.9 GB...so the question ask is why its 3D 100% and thos GPU memory,Shared GPU, Dedicated GPU stay like a say !Edit : i also have and Intel(R) HD Graphic 630.. on task manager i see Intel as GPU 0 and Nvidia as GPU 1.
