Mouse scroll wheel squeaking
I have been using my new mouse for about 2 weeks now, and recently the scroll wheel has gotten this horrible squeaking, but only if i scroll down. Anyone know any goods tips for how to fix it?

Mouse is from the Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite L Combo pack

Unless you feel like taking it apart... otherwise.

To open, carefully remove the rubber feet and remove the screws. Re-grease the pivel points of the wheel and it should be fine.

WD 40
I read somewhere that WD40 is water based, and could damage the internals of the mouse, and that the WD40 will evaporate and the problem returns?

Shh everything can be fixed with either WD 40 or duct tape

And, there are plenty of good 'cheap' products.
Just because you pay 70USD for a mouse doesn't mean it's good. (But, Zowie do make so quality products.)

Lmao this was like 2 years ago and i already got a new one since like a year ago, but honestly the quality on that cheap mouse was actually pretty good like Autumn mentioned above. all i needed was some lube to fix the squeaky scroll wheel
My five month Razor Deathadder Elite BS mouse wheel just started squeaking and a lot of the answers involve taking the mouse apart. This seemed to me unnecessary as you can see the wheel axle without dismantling, so I used "Lockwood Lock-Lube extra fine lubrication graphite," one squirt of this powder and the squeak was gone and the mouse is now as good as new.

I had fine oil or the graphite powder on hand. I decided on the graphite powder as it has worked like magic in the past on various items.

Oldman (above) advising powder made me think of using the graphite powder, so a big shout out to you.

Plastics that are a bit worn out will start to squeak. I recommend getting some teflon-based lubricant and just use a tiny bit on the plastic parts that slide, spin and rub against each other.
Teflon lubricants are friendly to plastics and do not make a mess over time.
