You can't really harm anything, at best things will just crash if unstable.
If you OC and it's unstable, down-clock it slightly until it is stable.
Monitor CPU & GPU Temps to ensure doesn't get too hot.
For example I was watching a video about overclocking my GTX 750 Ti and it just said run the slider all the way to the right for GPU speed, but that was when an older version of the software had a limited range, newer version had much wider range, video blanked out, had to do a hard shut off, rebooted, no problems.
So gradually increase speeds, test with a graphics benchmark, and if you start seeing artifacts (similar to jpg file zoomed in too much), back off some until no artifacts. But even if you go way too far, you are unlikely to physically hurt anything (other than drive if being written to at the time). And journal of most modern file systems would likely minimize any drive corruption if you shut down improperly.
950 is around 3-4X faster than a 750 Ti; and that % difference is roughly the same when comparing 950 to 1050 Ti
750 Ti is for 720p at best
1050 Ti 4GB, everything will run fine at 1080p high/ultra for the most part.
Yes some 1050 Ti do not require more than 75W power, not all.
Voltage % : +50%
Power Target : 100%
Temp Target : 97 C
GPU Clock Offset : +158 MHz
MEM Clock Offset : +746 MHz
Fan Curve : Aggressive
heres the link to the overclock picture : https://i.gyazo.com/2ba28d0c5b24b6cdb0f3847fbf0f018e.png
So the best thing to do would be to gradually increase clock speeds and see how it goes
Games can be sensitive to unstable overclocks so they may crash or crash the display driver.

For the record, the 1050 Ti is the upgrade for a GTX 960 4GB
so yes, its better than a 750 Ti

Uhmmm..
