In the past month or two I have had two DOA RAM modules and two DOA SSDs, all from Team Group.
The RAM modules did not pass memtest86.
One SSD was causing BSODs in Windows. The other SSD died after installing Windows/ drivers on it, I rebooted the PC and it was not detected anymore in BIOS.
Stick to a trusted quality brand like kingston, corsair or so.
*Corsair too.
Team Group is also included on that generic list. For example I also like Zeppelin RAM modules for their great design (golden modules with the german iron cross), but unfortunately they suck.

all crucial ram has a lifetime warranty ....and mine seems to overclock well
i bought 4 gig dimms tho (they were on sale during my visit to the store)
3000-speed goes for like $130
Not sure about the prices now though
Why not save up for a new machine? are you having issues running games you want to play now? I am not sure ram will be a quick fix for you or even a good buy.
My question here is. Why are you upgrading? what is your machine used for? How does it look like now and what is your future prospects?
This Kingston 2x8GB 3200MHz has default speed of 2400 - KF432C16BBK216 , 52 CAD
