So personally I'd stick with charging it via your computer.
That's my belief. I'm only repeating what I've been told by manufacturers. Both Plantronics and HyperX recommended I only charge via computer USB not a phone charger. I suspect it's partly concern for users buying cheap chargers that may have questionable safety measures but that's only a suspicion and I'd rather not risk it.
As long as it's not above 2.1 amps, it's perfectly fine to use a phone/tablet wall charger for other usb devices.
I really discussed in the corsair forums about charging my headset with adapter(not for phone ones) and the techical support says; "We prefer to charge headset with PTC (Protected Current) Adapters and be sure not to let it stand overcharged. Other than this, if headset doesn't support the Quick Charge (QC). Thanks for the advice, have a nice day
