That q6700 on a push pull 212+ used these:
https://www.newegg.com/patriot-4gb-240-pin-ddr3-sdram/p/N82E16820220286
And thats some pretty tall af ram (those fins were super long lol).
Though maybe more newer boards have the ram closer to the slots so its more of an issue. I used it in a GA-EP45t-UD3P
But I am glad to hear they keep working to update and keep the line valid as a value option. Seems their new black model and silencio model are both pretty decent for what they are.
I've had to on countless occasions explain to folks how to install it properly when using certain ram.
Many fail to realize even though the EVO fan is installed onto clips, it never has to be installed by clipping it on from the side. You would generally install the mount and heatsink first, then all your ram. Then take the fan and slide it downward and onto the heatsink from the top of the right hand side of it. If the ram is tall, just move the fan down the slider until it stops.
mount it as pull tward the rear of the case
or push with the fan lifted slightly above the ram
if the mobo has poor vrm cooling its best to have a stock style cooler
