Even when they do, they are terrible not worth using. At least the ones on a TV are doable.

tv can work as a display, but you need to turn off all image processing and set native scaling in the tvs menus for best image
I was going to use it for TV stuff anyway

I've used and sold tons of monitors since we all used vga only stuff.
Regardless of the monitor design or cost, it's built in speakers will suk badly. Even a pair of 3.5mm stereo speakers you could get for $5 would sound better.
1080p smart hdtv with multiple hdmi, a usb port, ethernet port and wifi are like $100 now days since most store shelves mostly have 4K tvs now.
