Bluetooth Interference
My Bluetooth earphones had no problem on its own. When I connected my Ps4 controller via Bluetooth, the earbuds started to stutter and may even disconnect one of the ears. I updated my Bluetooth drivers and Windows was completely up to date.

I just recently got a new laptop and this was *never* a problem with my old Laptop. Is there something I need to install? Was there something I didn't update?

If using built in Bluetooth, the antenna might not have enough bandwidth available for both devices

Does that mean my older laptop had more bandwidth? My old laptop had a usb dongle for bluetooth I believe built in. While my new one has "intel wireless bluetooth"

bt uses the 2.4ghz range
so anything else that uses that range can interfere with it
cordless phones, k/m/controllers, 2.4ghz wifi, cell phones ect..
along with other devices that spit out all freq ranges
microwave oven, florescent/cfl lights, cfl displays, plasma tvs ect..
and stuff that can block wireless frequencies
pc cases, sheet metal, faraday cage

is the bt adapter 4.0 or better, odler bt has less bandwidth and poorer support for multiple devices at the same time

If you reverse the order in which they're connected does it still happen?

Yeah it still happens. There was a rare case where they both worked perfectly. Then after maybe a few hours the problem persists.

BT is only going to handle one device at a time

I guess the only way to find out is to try an external dongle

I doubt it's interference but you could try having both devices connected but have them seperated by a couple metres to see if they are interfering with each other directly or through the Bluetooth module

I actually tried that and there seems to be no problem if I left my controller across the room. Is the problem coming from the controller and earphones?

Only BT that's going to handle both of those devices at the same time is BT 5.0

I recently got a 4.0 Bluetooth adapter and I can use a ps4 wireless control with wireless earbuds at the same time on the same device.

Are there programs/software that could cause this problem?
