Why do i have 8gb of unused ram?

It stay in hardware reserved area. Am i supposed to not use it? Or there's something i can do with it?

yeah. Been reading this thread after I logged yesterday and something seems amiss. Add that I'm not a pro, and you can understand how confused I feel at this.

I'm just curious as to where you're seeing the mention of "unused" RAM. Any screen shots you can actual link for us to look at would be a great help.

Screen shot of CPUZ or do a validation on CPUZ (you'll see a button at the bottom of the CPUZ window that say "Validate" - click it, then in the next window click on "Submit") and provide the link.

Get a screen shot of wherever you're looking at that tells you about having "unused" RAM and post a link here. You can post your image on imgur or even use something such as Techpower Image Hosting[www.techpowerup.org] and then post the link here.

Right now, all I get from all the previous posts is that some stuff was suggested and you say nothing changes. Instead of trying to get more helpful data for us to assist you with, you just ran right out and started trying everything suggested without getting us more of the basic info requested by the very first person that posted on the thread:

there should be a jumper in your motherboard to clear all values set in BIOS, (which are stored in CMOS). look into your motherboard manual to see how to do it. it will reset your BIOS to the default settings, and should set memory to "auto" among other things.

Press the print screen button on your keyboard, it's next to all the function (F1-F12) keys.

Then simply open Paint, point your mouse in it and press CTRL + V on your keyboard.

above the arrow keys, there should be something called "print screen" or "PrtSc".. press Ctrl+PrtSc and if the screen "flashes" look into your pictures folder and you'll see it saved there. if it doesn't flash (i'm not sure win8 saves screens), open MS Paint and copy whatever is in your clipboard, save the image then upload to Steam or some image sharing site like imgur.com

hint: to screenshot only the active window, press alt+PrtSc (or win+alt+PrtSc to automatically save it to the pictures directory)

Edit: my suspicion right now lies on a falty ram stick which Win8 is disabling (similar to chipkill, but on the whole stick)
