Broken laptop screen, BSoD, can't output screen to TV through HDMI
So yesterday I borrowed cousin's laptop to fix broken screen and BSoD. I thought it would be a simple fix by using HDMI. However, it turns out that HDMI doesn't work on this laptop. My TV says "No Signal" when plugged in and turned on. Any ideas? Or I am out of luck? Oh, btw, the laptop is Packard Bell Z5WT1 Windows 10.

When the PC is in recovery mode:

Down, right, enter, down, enter, enter, down, enter, down, enter, down, enter
This will completely wipe the computer clean and reinstall Windows. After each enter wait 10-20 seconds to make sure the PC has time to load.

This is giving me flashbacks to cheating in GTA San Andreas..

You need to duplicate the main screen or set the 2nd monitor as your main screen. If the main screen is completely dead you will have to do all of this blind; login then press 'Windows key + P' > press the arrow down > press enter.

These older laptops quite often will only display the BIOS on the main screen making troubleshooting them very hard depending on how badly the screen is broken.

The problem is that laptop gets BSoDed before it even gets to welcome screen. http://imgur.com/gallery/eQdyASO

Then you will need to reinstall Windows.
replace broken screen first.
troubleshoot BSOD afterwards.

This laptop is rather old. I wouldn't spend any money trying to fix it. A new screen can easily cost you $100, for $150-$200 you already have a new netbook with better specs then this aging machine.

Anyway, I decided to downgrade to 8.1 using USB but I have no idea how to get into BIOS without screen completely blind. Can you send me an image of step-to-step BIOS of Packard Bell?

It's best to use the boot override and try each option one by one. The boot override is usually opened with F8. But the manual only mentions how to access the BIOS (F2) so you may be out of luck. You will have to look up videos and images of the BIOS yourself on Google and Youtube.

You can sometimes make the PC use the HDMI screen instead if you disconnect the main screen. So that could be worth a try as well.

I somehow managed to boot into safe mode and I can hear some female voice. First thing I tried was to change display output to TV but Win+P doesn't seem to work probably because of safe mode.

"Hi! I am Cortana! A little sign in here, a touch of Wifi there.."
That is not safe mode. It's the Windows 10 OS setup and configuration.

You get this screen right after installing/resetting Windows 10. Try doing the 'Windows key + P' shortcut now to duplicate the screen.

You could plug in the drive in to another computer and install Windows on it there.

Or you could install Ubuntu or Mint on it if you are able to boot from a flash drive. They will do a live boot giving you the full OS and all features it provides during the installation. If you plug in a 2nd screen it should expand the desktop automatically.

No, she's definitely not Cortana, I swear. Some text2speech thing or whatever.

Should I perform clean installation through Recovery Mode? If yes, then how to do since I literally don't have screen.
