Is core temp safe
I want to know what my temps is and i looked at core temp and wanted to download it but there is adware in the normal version but if you click more downloads there is a standalone version is this still legit and does it fix the adware issue

If you have a monitor program that can monitor other temps feel free to write them to me

can just look in the bios or use Msi Afterburner itll show everything even the speeds your stuff is running at if you chose to make it do it

Try HW Monitor. It's what literally everybody else uses. Free. Detailed information. No adware.

CoreTemp is good. HWInfo 64 gives the most detailed monitoring info though.

Hwmonitor gives crazy levels of detail, if you have a second screen it's even better as you can use it to monitor in real time, it does however keep track of max temperature reached, though bare in mind, that is likely to be an odd spike for a split second.

For in-game use I'd setup MSI afterburner OSD to see what's going on in real time (if you only have the one screen) I tend to run both as it lets me cover just the basics in the OSD.

I used to use hwinfo64 then had a really odd issue where it wouldn't close and just looped until I forced uninstalled it, ever since I use hw monitor.

I've been using CoreTemp for years and years with no issues. I had absolutely no idea that the installable version contains adware though. I've always used the portable version.
