Upgrading pre-built PC
I'm not really educated when it comes to computer hardware and whatnot, so that's why I'm here, to get some help!

I'm wondering if there is any way to make my Acer Aspire TC-705 Gaming PC better when it comes to FPS in game, and still being able to play games with High-ish settings. I am able to run games like GTA V with about 60 FPS on about less than medium settings, and Fortnite at around 100fps with low settings. I'm not complaining when it comes to performance, but I'm looking for a way to play games with better quality while still maintaining really good FPS.

PC SPECS:

Processor: Intel Core i5 processor 4460
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX745 4GB
Hard Drive: 2TB Hard Drive
Memory: 10GB DDR3 Memory

what power supply, brand/model?

and what budget for a gpu upgrade?

is the case slim/low profile, or mid/full tower?

whats the longest gpu that can be installed in the case?

Power Supply: 130W Max
GPU Budget: Any price
Case: Seems like a regular size PC case. Not too big not too small.
GPU size: Not exactly sure how much space is available.

130w sounds like a power brick or its an itx or sff pc

this is a slim/sff case

At core, you need a new GPU. That would give you a major FPS boost and allow you to run virtually anything with good FPS. Unfortunately I don't know any way to work that into your existing build.

Upgrading the GPU means you need more electrical power, so you would need to upgrade the power converter - the PSU - for more capacity. And that's where the problems start. Acer uses an incredibly cheap PSU that's integrated into the case, you can't fit an aftermarket upgrade PSU without changing the whole case.

And that isn't possible either, because Acer also used a unique Motherboard design that's only compatible with that exact case.

I wish I could offer a solution, but I can't. There's no way to adapt your motherboard into a new case, and they don't make motherboards for your CPU anymore. Your only option would be to replace the entire PC, which is exactly as Acer intended it.

This is a problem with all pre-built PCs. Whether through laxity or cynicism, their design makes them almost impossible to upgrade.

It's a shoebox case with a 130W greybox PSU directly soldered onto the case frame. What's really frustrating is, they could have easily used a standard ITX or M-ATX motherboard shape but instead used this weird pancake design. And for that reason alone OP basically has no upgrade options.

There are acer tc705's fitted with gtx1060's listed in benchmark databases, so it must be possible to upgrade at least one model of the tc705. A new psu would be required.

It's your usual fooltrap, "look 4 GB VRAM graphics card, must be great for gaming".

A decent GPU and PSU will let you play any game 60+ fps with your current specs.

Don't buy GPU stronger than 1050ti since the CPU is weak.

A stronger PSU won't go into that case, it's PSU is soldered in and a non-standard size. Changing to another case won't work because the motherboard isn't ATX either. And changing the motherboard wouldn't be cost-effective, it'd be $200 effectively wasted.
