Why is GTX 960 more expensive than GTX 1660S?
I currently have GTX 960 and purchased GTX 1660 Super (to upgrade) for 250 dollars. I'm looking at the stores and GTX 960 is going for like 290 to 300 dollars. Some even more. Why is that? Is there some tech in a 960 that 1660 doesn't have?

more expensive does not always = better

and yes the 1660 S is alot better then a even a 4 gig GTX 960

GTX 960 is several generations older card then GTX 1660 Super and way inferior in performance, this thing is not worth more then $100 used max.

Not made anymore. Just buy a 1660 Super or 5600 XT

Ah... I don't really understand how this market works. It seems odd to me how something obsolete can be more expensive just because it used to be popular and is now scarce.

Thanks for the answer.

Well you could list some specific examples.

I would expect resellers and whatnot are selling most of these cards. Like newegg.com probably isn't selling 960's anymore, but resellers operating on newegg.com might be. Prices don't adjust automatically to other hardware being available, so for older hardware or things that are selling at a low to no volume it's not even worth the time to update the prices (You spend time updating it and it still doesn't sell, waste of time). So the original prices persist.

If something is priced wonky there's probably a pretty simple explanation. And besides you can find 960's priced relative to their value too.

The store bought the 960 at normal wholesale price when it was still the current generation at the time, newer and better cards came out later, but they don't want to discount it to make a loss, so they kept the original price in the hope that one day a sucker would buy it.
