for a new gaming rig, none of that should be reused
You can ignore the compatibility warning, this motherboard has updated BIOS for Ryzen 3000 series.
Usually I would recommend Ryzen 5 3600 but it got a recent price hike with supply problem and Ryzen 7 3700X got decent price drop so opportunity is pretty good for it.
This build was made to maximize the budget of $1000 but future upgrades are somewhat complicated, good thing is that you would not need an upgrade for quite a while except for maybe if new graphics cards will come out sometimes and this you can do.
Problem with building more future-proof PC currently is that there are several problems with supply lines and availability because of the Covid-19 and also because new chipsets like B550 literally just launched and availability is currently pretty much zero.
If you would want to have upgrade option for Ryzen 4000 series CPUs that will be launched toward end of this year you would need to get B550 or X570 motherboard that are considerably more expensive, also there are virtually no X570 motherboards in stock currently because of the supply problems and no B550 motherboards in stock because they just launched and availability will be problematic for a while.
If you want to have that future upgrade option you could wait for few weeks to see if the B550 motherboards become more available and at what price and maybe go with full size ATX case with bigger 650W PSU (also problematic currently because of severe PSU shortage) but this will cost you some extra.
Build I made will play you currently any modern game with ultra settings 1080p with 60+ fps and some games in 1440p as well with no problem but yeah future upgrades are not that great apart from new graphics card, on the plus side it will make your current PC feel like a complete relic.
All and all it`s kinda bad time to build new PC currently with various supply problems from Covid-19 and bunch of new stuff getting added with limited supply and it gets even more hectic towards end of the year with new Ryzen 4000 series CPUs and RTX 3000 series graphics cards launching.
