Most likely just a 3rd party seller.

Best to link it and let us check it out.

Probably have a better chance on Ebay for that sort of thing then on Amazon.

If it says sold and dispatched by amazon then someone has returned it more than likely because it had coil whine or something but is still in good working order (you also get 12month warranty), if it is a third party seller then it is not covered by amazon 12month warranty so purchase at your own risk.

When buying used, be warned about GPU's used to mine Bitcoin. You'll need to "reset" them.

not even close to true

most mining gpus are fine, just make sure the fan still works

only thing to be cautious of, is some do not have display outputs

The warranty is through the brand maker, never through Amazon. Most gpus will always have 3 years minimum warranty unless it's being sold as Refurbished. But if the gpu is old, like any GTX 10xx series then you wouldn't have any warranty since those are from well beyond 3 years old.

You're saying that pre-overclocked GPU's can't damage something? If you're not careful enough the high voltages can damage the GPU itself or the Motherboard.

I think it's safer to "reset" pre-owned GPU's used for mining. Just in case.

*shrugs*

Pre-OCed gpus come from the factory with the verification that it can handle that now default OC. It's fine. People have been buying pre-OC gpus since the days of AGP cards. The gpu handles the OC and has beefier vrms to support it on the card. That OC does nothing to your Motherboard and requires nothing extra from it.

factory oc is saved on the gpu and 100% safe

software oc is not stored on the gpu, its a software setting

Factory OC: Okay.

Pre-owned OC from final user: Doubtful.

But most GPUS have enough limits that even a 24/7 software OC should have been fine. If it's a software OC they had running, it won't run that OC for you by default, the gpu will still always boot up and run initially using whatever it's stock clocks and voltage are, and fan curve

Dont know where you get your information from, but you can return anything broken to amazon within 12 month of purchase and they will replace it or refund it if they have no stock to replace, even on the stuff they are selling from Amazon returns warehouse, it is this way in the UK at least, this is the reason i buy everything from Amazon, after the 12 month you are in manufacture warranty area Amazon will not help.

if you are buying a used gpu the warranty is voided anyway
