can i tape my mouse lens to the back of the circuitboard
i have a lens rattle issue and this seems like a pretty easy fix, its the back of the circuitboard so no electronics or anything, would this be safe to do or not

if you think it will work, try it with a little electrical tape. If it doesn't then get a new one, prices start at about $5 for a rattle free mouse, personally I would just replace it, mind you mine was terribly expensive at $34 from red dragon.

its an mm710, the quality control is terrible on them, the last one i had was creaking everywhere and the clicks creaked so bad. i replaced it and this one is literally perfect except for the lens rattle. its just noise though, doesnt affect anything, so id rather not take another gamble
Give the tape a shot, I probably would in your place. They use the same trick on laptops and tv's etc to insulate or hold parts in place without issue.

i ended up putting a thin layer of tape between the lens and bottom chassis as they make contact, lens rattle is gone
