I started using Firefox. Anything I should know?
Yesterday I installed Firefox and uninstalled Chrome. I read through the pages that come up the first time you open Firefox and I went through the privacy settings and tuned everything how I wanted it to be. Is there anything else I need to know about to improve my Firefox experience or am I good to go?

other than installing an adblocker (ublock origin is best) not really.

I recommend enabling automatic bug reporting in the privacy settings. It helps Mozilla improve the browser. And set the privacy settings of the browser itself to strict.

Enable DNS over HTTPS, setting is at the bottom of the main tab. I recommend using nextDNS over Cloudflare.

Disable crap like notification popups.

Extensions.

This is how I have my browser configured.

If you right click the bar at the top you can customize it, get more themes, etc. I like to have the menu bar on.

Firefox now supports DoH - DNS over HTTPS - (Chrome too) so you might want to enable that. Maybe check your settings after enabling it: https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/encrypted-sni/

Ghostery, uBlock Origin and NoScript are a must.

Ghostery is owned by an advertising company. Don't use it. Use Privacybadger.

Aside from the obvious blocking all 3rd party cookies, use Ublock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere, Cookie Autodelete and Disable WebRTC.

Also, dig through about:config for other optional ricing. Blocking all html5 autoplay and autoloading, either through config or with an addon is useful.

Interesting. I'm gonna have a look. Thanks.

Ghostery, uBlock Origin and NoScript are a must.

Ghostery got bought out by another spyware company years ago. It's useable as long as you opt-out of all datasharing, but Ublock Origin's advanced mode covers the same ground just fine.

Same goes for Noscript. Ublock Origin's advanced modes handle scripts as well, but Noscript running in parallel for redundancy is useful.
