input lag when changing volume, skipping songs etc
When i'm playing a game and go to change the volume or skip a song, the windows 10 overlay appears but it creates input lag until it disappears. It's like V-Sync was enabled for couple seconds. It can get very annoying especially when playing Team Fortress 2. Especially since i need to wait a couple seconds for it to go back to normal.

Is there any way to make is so it wont do this? Thanks.

disable steam overlay and do not use steams media player
use wmc, vlc or mpc instead

Dont use steam overlay for music. Use a music player, like vlc

Rightclick the game's executable file, properties, compatibility. Tick "Disable fullscreen optimisations". Come back to tell how better it is now.
