Motherboard makes Beep sound.
when i use my pc play games watch videos or just surf the web , PC will sometimes make beep sound but sound comes not from speakers but from PC motherboard and this happens like 5-10 beeps per 10-12 hours. So i get a short quick beep ("Bleerp") and then PC stays quiet for 1-2 hours and then it beeps again.

i dont understand why it beeps my pc works perfectly fine i use windows 10 and motherboard is msi z270.

so its only a single beep after 1-2h. no beep pattern like few shorts and a long one? Are you 100% sure its the Motherboard not the HDD?

how could HDD make a beep sound ? i am not certain i just hear it from PC not headphones, yes no patern at all just 1 single beep and happens once per 1-2 hours roughly there are no double or triple beeps.

I also have 1 SSD 512 GB and 2 HDD's 1TB each. how could they make beep noise ?
does hard drive have built in speaker ?

motherboards normally have beep pattern where the pattern exactly telling you what is wrong. The HDD tho makes sounds espacially when powering up or when failling or is inoperational (in that case tho you would hafe a beep every 3-5 sec.).

RAM 2x8 I believe? or you mean 8+8?

Your hardware is to new to actually have problems or be cloth to fail (doesnt mean it couldnt). What would be really important to find out what actually is causing the problem. If possible you could disconnect the HDD's for a while and see if it stops.

a 3rd theory which I could think of would be a short coil whine.

when does it start that would help

its an optical data transfer for audio. that doesnt make a sound at all just sending signals through red light.

When was the last time you cleaned the dust from your heat sink fins? Usually Kabelake does not get that hot...which is why I am asking.

Is there a way for you to get a topdown view in between the fins on your CPU cooler? Also how is the unit mounted? is the fan on the CPU cooler facing the front, top, or rear? I ask this because I have had better cooling success on my Core i7 6700K with the unit mounted so that it draws airflow from front to back. I also have exhaust fans mounted on the top and rear of my case while the front and bottom are intake. Given your CPU cooler, you do not need any exhaust or intake fans mounted on the side of you case.

Do you even understand what you're talking about? If the temp reading is correct that is very cool. In fact I laugh at people saying their CPU temp under heavy usage never reach 40C. You play in mid winter with your windows opened or what.
