Upgrading from GTX 680

I could use some help in choosing what card should i buy to replace my current card.

MBD: Asus P8Z77-V DELUXE (Z77 chipset)
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K @ 3.50GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 680 2GB
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 C9 4x4GB
1000W Power supply

Since my current system is somewhat old, i dont really know what new card to get which is not an overkill for the current rig. I would rather not upgrade anything else yet, if possible. But additional tips concerning rest of the components are welcome.

Really anything, the rest of your PC will support any GPU. I would go with a 1070

GTX 1070 or a 1080 will do you good.

Yes, even a cheap GTX 1060 3GB or 6GB would be a big step up over any GTX 680 series.
I would not suggest below 1060 6GB though.

How much money do you have to spend ? I wouldn't go beyond a 1070 with your CPU at those clocks as, it will be bottlenecking anything faster, saying that, you should probably overclock your CPU.
A 1060 6GB would be a great upgrade and it's a pretty reasonable price.

If you can, go GTX 1070 + quality/beefy CPU Cooler; and then OC that CPU as high as possibly stable. As long as it doesn't get too hot also that is.

Just for info sake ^ GTX980 about par with GTX1060 and GTX980ti par with GTX1070. ^

Thanks for the guidance, i ordered a MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G.
GTX 1070 prices seemed a bit too salty for me.

I'd wait 2 weeks and go with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti.

EDIT: ... or just order a GTX 1060 6GB.
