try memory foam like this[www.amazon.com] (what I used for my HARX700s both under the earpads and glued to the back of the inside of the can for dampening)
something like the Monoprice Modern Retro[www.amazon.com] and a lapel mic[www.amazon.com] should suffice for a gaming headset...
alternative to the foam mod might be upgraded pads like the brainwavzk hybrid foam pads[www.amazon.com], up to you
This seems to be an easy solution to my problem, now I'll just need to find a headset that can be modified easily, but that still helps me drastically reduce my search parameters.
Thank you again! I really mean it, I totally missed this option and was stressing out on trying to find something.
