Need help finding a Gaming Headset - Eczema
So to start off, I am having trouble finding a headset that fits my needs, and I am reaching out here because most descriptions I find are copy/paste and fail to mention anything about the size/design of the ear cups on a headset and I'm hoping I can gather first-hand experience from people.

My ears are on on the larger side, and I also have eczema, which makes getting a headset quite troublesome. My main problem is that the ear cups are often not deep enough, which causes the inner part, the mesh, to touch parts of my ear which lead to rash/bleeding within an hour or two of use.

I'm basically trying to find a headset that is on-ear and designed in a proper gaming headset fashion, an over-ear design that has VERY deep ear cups so there is no way the inner mesh will touch my ears, or a smaller speaker cup design that'll practically act like on-ear headphones.

Any help would be extremely grateful, as I am failing horribly in trying to find anything remotely usable. :steamsad:

for over-ear cans, try the old foam under the pad mod[www.head-fi.org], should be just what the dr prescribes

try memory foam like this[www.amazon.com] (what I used for my HARX700s both under the earpads and glued to the back of the inside of the can for dampening)

something like the Monoprice Modern Retro[www.amazon.com] and a lapel mic[www.amazon.com] should suffice for a gaming headset...

alternative to the foam mod might be upgraded pads like the brainwavzk hybrid foam pads[www.amazon.com], up to you

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't even consider modifying the ear cups myself, as I am used to the old styles that had everything permanently attached so messing with the padding was a full project.

This seems to be an easy solution to my problem, now I'll just need to find a headset that can be modified easily, but that still helps me drastically reduce my search parameters.

Thank you again! I really mean it, I totally missed this option and was stressing out on trying to find something.
