What is the best temperature for CPU : AMD 8350 FX (?)
i've got 65-70.

if its hitting 72c is way too hot

Yes it is possible... The key is FSB and RAM, not CPU OC
and CPU means so little for FPS unless you're obsessing over every single point above 144 FPS

Clean out the dust and at least run a safer OC, you'll kill your CPU eventually with a constant temperature under load like that, there's a reason why there's a "max temp"

Little nitpick - FSB is still a 'cpu overclock', rather just changing the baseclock of the CPU, rather than changing multiplier.

But yeah, I agree, FSB, Memory, and I think northbridge too if memory serves, overclock those and you'll get better performance, providing you get a better cooler/clean the one you have now.
At the very least make sure it doesn't throttle.

Theoretically that cooler should be keeping you down to 40-45c load. It must be packed full of dust just blow it out with a vacuum on reverse.

My FX8350 easy multi OC 4.4ghz across all cores 40-42c most times with cm212+ csgo Dust II map isn't all that demanding and even my old x4 965 r7 265 managed 120-190fps.

Ps, FX8350 max temp is 61c and the FX8300 is 72c.

fx does better with fsb oc vs multi

just keep the ram near its rated freq and timings
and the ht needs to stay at stock 2000-2400

Definitely look into the cleanliness and air flow in your case. Theres not much reason for it to be reaching those sorts of temps.
