SN30 Pro Plus Issue wired only

Hello, everyone. I am trying to get my SN30 pro Plus working. It is connected via bluetooth in Windows 7 and is listed under the bluetooth devices as '8BitDo SN30 Pro+'

I paired it in xinput, so it should show in Steam as an Xbox controller.

In Steam, when trying to adjust controller settings, no matter what options i try, it lists 'no controllers detected.'

When wired, Steam immediately recognizes it as an Xbox 360 controller, which is the behavior it should exhibit and i would expect. I have enabled Xbox and generic gamepad support. I have also tried enabling all of the other controller support options one by one on the off chance that one would work without luck.

the annoying thing is that i have a wired 360 controller with a six foot USB extension i was using, so that was fine, but i wanted a wireless controller and i have several 8bitdo products and receivers for my original NES and original SNES as well as my SNES classic, so i am well versed in their products and like them.

I have updated the firmware on the 8bitdo to 3.02 and my Windows bluetooth driver, and all various other drivers are fully updated as well.

If anyone has any suggestions, i would greatly appreciate hearing them. My apologies if this has been asked before, but i could not find another thread that follow the same nature of the issue. Thanks in advance.

Another user stated that steam has to be shut down completely before you set it up if that helps at all. Apparently if steam is already running it will not pickup the controller on BT.
