how to take bootcamp windows 10 in-game screengrabs
I'm running Steam on a partitioned section of my Macbook Pro. Does anyone have any tips for taking in-game screengrabs and controlling where they save to?

I've tried fn + shift + f11 but no joy, and I don't have a f14 key. Ideally I'd like the screengrab to just save automatically onto my desktop if possible too.

thanks for any help.

Hi,

The default key for screenshots is F12. I would assume you would hold fn + F12 to take a screenshot.

You can actually use any key you like though. Open up Steam, go to View > Settings and click the 'In-Game' option. From here you can assign whatever key you want for screenshots.

thanks so much! am I right in thinking Steam automatically saves them somewhere then?

Just change the location it's right there in the Steam settings. How do people not know this, yet you use this game client. Always dive into the settings on any piece of software you are trying.

unless you've got something helpful or relevant to say, mind your own business. thanks

You can try pressing windows key + g to see if game dvr works. If it does win + alt + print screen is to take a screen shot. You can change the short cut keys and settings in captures settings.

thank you Set, always nice to hear a kind response. I think I'm going to give up because nothing works, even if I specify it in the settings. I don't have a windows key, as I'm running through Bootcamp on a Mac, which I think is causing the issues.
