Weird droplets of liquid on my cpu cooler?
So I just noticed a number of liquid droplets on my cooler master hyper 212 evo rgb black edition and when I wiped it off it was oily of such. Was wondering how or is it possible for an air cooler to produce some sort of liquid overtime and on what factors?

it may be a leaky heatpipe

they are flled with a liquid/gas
(liquid moves from rad to cpu plate, evaporates to gas and moves to rad and condences)

if its no longer cooling as intended, rma the cooler

I get about 35c idle with my cpu and around 70c-80c when gaming. The cooler's new too cause I just bought it last feb

The amount of liquid in each heatpipe is miniscule, if one was cracked it would just evaporate out. This is probably just condensation.

The liquid droplets that I saw was very subtle and it was only like 4 very tiny little droplets. The cooler's new too and it cools very decent. Should I be worried about the droplets that I saw? As of now I already cleaned my fan and so far I havent seen any droplets or whatsoever

You could look for cracks on the pipes or check temps periodically. If it performs worse and worse over time then send it back.

Check the fan to. May be the lubricant from the bearing.

fans dont have very much oil, if it was leaked it would stay around the motor not spray out of it

the oil in heatpipes evaporates on the hot end and condenses on the cool end

So should I be worried or not?

do you smoke or vape? seen some pretty nasty stuff on cpu coolers due to smoking

if temps stay similar its fine
if it gets warmer every day replace it

Replace it, it's faulty.
Look at BeQuiet offerings.
Or look at Hyper212 EVO V2

Temps stays the same as it was from the first time it was installed. Idles at 35c

Possible it was just some oil residue that was on it as it left the factory. Try some stress test like prime95 and watch temps carefully as it runs. Might be a good idea to enable the temp alarms in the BIOS.

Idle doesn't matter much, under full loads is what matters.

What cpu do you have?
