Microsoft XBox Elite Series 2 Bluetooth
I did my research before buying this controller, and everything said you didn't need the MS XBox wireless adapter for it this time, and the controller should be all you need.

I can already use Bluetooth with a DS4 controller, so I know that's working. Unfortunately, the only way I seem to be able to use this Elite S2 controller is with the cable. I've watched and read countless tutorials and forum threads, but so far I can't find any advice that works — the controller does not appear as it should on the pairing search, and I can't find any new info via Google searches anymore.

Does anybody know of this problem and if there's an easy fix? I've made sure that all my drivers and firmware are up to date, including the Bluetooth adapter of course (a Killer 2017 Bluetooth 5.0 network adapter), and the Elite S2 says its firmware is the latest in the Xbox Accessories app.

Thanks!

Why do people even want an elite controller for PC?

No games will use the extra stuff on those controllers.

Also try another a different bt adapter, and make sure no other bt devices are on and/or currently paired to the bt dongle you are attempting to use for the Xbox controller.

The rear paddles by default are XYBA buttons so that you don't have to take your thumb off the thumb stick while playing games to do an action. and with the Steam controller configurator you can change the back paddles to be any buttons you want them to be.
