will an amd 5500 xt run with adapter 6 pin/8 pin?

hello,
i have an OCZ Fatal1ty 550FTY. it has a nvidia 9600 gt running with 6 pin current plug. i dont have the 8 pin cable for the psu anymore. will an amd 5500 xt run with an adapter 6 pin to 8 pin for current...if you know what i mean?

if the gpu has a 6pin + 6+2pin, 2x 6pin will work

the 2+ are both grounds, the card is already grounded from the case and 3 of the 6pin connectors

but if the psu does not have the connectors without needing adapters look for a better psu

ok. a better psu costs ~80 €. i dont have this lot of money. i would instead buy a nvidia card 1650 super.

make sure the psu can power the gpu before buying the gpu

if it cant, buy a better psu when you buy the gpu
