Elgato HD60 Pro does not give me any signal :/
Hey Guys,

as mentioned above, i have a problem with my elgato capture card.
I try to capture the screen of my Convertible Laptop (nothing illegal in mind, i want to stream the screen of OneNote while talking to the audiance for E-Teaching). But as I am a newbie to the system, I don't know how to set it up right. I have disabled HCDP in the amd radeon settings, the Laptop recognizes the Elgato as a screen, but no signal can be received on my main streaming PC. I can post the specs of both systems if it helps.

Do you have an idea how to fix this?

Thank you!
Thomas

Have you set up a multi-display configuration? I think in your situation a duplicate screen would be preferred.
You can select the mode by pressing Windows + P on your keyboard.

Screen Duplication is selected :)

The Capture card is connected through the PCIe Slot of my mainboard

What capture software are you using/have you tried?

I have used "Elgato Game Caputre HD" to look, if changing the settings is changing the Signal, but also in OBS I just see the elgato image with "no signal" :/

You sure the you plugged the laptop output into the right port on theel gato? My colossus has a hdmi in and an hdmi out for passthrough. If yours is the same maybe you plugged in the wrong port?

If it is the right port then nevermind but what are the specs of the main pc?

I checked this a few times already, i connected the "IN" Port to the HDMI cable leading to the laptop :/

Specs of my main PC:
CPU: i5 6500
GPU: GeForce GTX 780
RAM: 16 GB
MB: AsRock b250m Pro4

Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro is listed in the Devices Manager in Windows.

Tell me if you need more specs :)

dang, I don't know what to tell you then. When did you get the card like yesterday or like a week ago?

DankEngineer May 3, 2020 @ 12:13pm
This kind of makes me feel good and bad the same time :D

I got the card yesterday and yet not tried to turn on some other device like my nintendo switch. I guess i'll do it tomorrow to check, if it is broken or its just the PC setup. The support is contacted right now, but they have predicted long waiting times :/ I guess I have to wait for their answer :/ But thank you really much!
