Samsung CHG 70 27 For PC Gaming?

ey guys, taking some final input on a monitor. I wanted the CHG70 27inch but 2 years ago I went with the Acer Z35P, and while it is an amazing monitor, I am not that happy with it.



21:9 Ratio issues. SO much Youtube content and pc games lack support for it.

Washed out colors, even after calibrating it over and over, stuff just feels "faded"



I am looking for something vibrant and pops. I love watching movies and I play RPG type games more than twitch shooters. I am also very very curious about HDR(I am aware its not HDR10, but HDR600)



Path of Exile, Diablo 3, SWTOR, Black Desert Online, Total War, Shadow of Mordor, Fallout 76 with the occasional monthly binge of GTA 5, Jedi Fallen Order and The Division 2. I am a 90% single player or PVEr, that sometimes enjoys the pvp of games like Arma 3 and Ark.





This being said, would you suggest the CHG70 27 inch?



I have a GTX 1080ti, i7 9700k. For me, I dont see any benefit of GSync, maybe I am blind, or just too old. But coming from 3 HP 23ES to 1 Z35p, I notice the ppi change and its nice, but I dont notice the 120hz all that much or any benefit of GSync,





The CHG70 is $450 and seems like a great price for what it offers, but I notice it is a VA panel, so would I have the same issues as currently? I also play games/watch movies in a pitch black environment.



I would say my pc habit consists of 75% gaming, 20% movie watching and 5% web browsing


The price of the CHG70 is $450 and has HDR, I am more curious if the panel is more washed out or same washed out feel as the Z35P or would I prefer IPS?


I am more about immersive gaming and want something with great color, and brightness, the CHG70 seems to tick all the bells for me on paper.
