Can my SATA-mobo cable short my PC if it touches the case?
I have my SSD hanging over my PSU cables in my H510 (I can't mount it cuz my PSU only has 90° connectors). I'm scared that if the metal release from the SATA cable touches the case it may short my PC.
Please help.

It won't. The only thing you have to worry about is making sure the motherboard stand-offs are all in.
the clip is floating, not ground or power/signal
Nope. Everything connected to power is inside the connector.

That metal clip doesn't connect to anything, it's only to hold the cable in place.

With "metal release" I mean the little piece of metal that you have to press to remove the connector from the SSD. You were referring to that?

Yeah, that is indeed what I am refering to.
Ok thx guys now I'm relaxed cuz I was pretty worried
if the clip touches across pins or shorts components on the mobo it can cause problems tho

What kind of problems?
But I dont think that it will touch it be cause it's separated from it by a layer of metal lol
depends on what the connector is touching
crossing the front panel header, it can hold power or reset buttons
worst case, shorting across usb2.0 headers

Oh ok but bo there's no risk of it doing that.
