Headphones squeeze too tight.

How would you make them less tight?

Ordered my Yamaha receiver two weeks ago, since the shutdown Amazon won't deliver it until May 7. So I've had to use these admittedly nice headphones straight from the sound card, but I can only stand them for an hour or so. Feels like a pro wrestler has my head in a hold.

I don't want to over-bend them and break the headband... but I'm tempted.

I had to hold my last pair of headphones stretched out over cardboard box for a week before they started to actually feel somewhat decent and it took few months after that of normal use before they finally settled in into comfortable pressure.

Good idea, thanks. I will try that. I just need to find something wide enough to stretch them.

I've had them for years, I just hate using them, so they may as well be new.

I recall my DT770 felt really tight too, but the problem went away after a week.
