If this is a laptop, I wouldn't, because the CPU would heat up more and throttle anyway.

FPS is independent. The CPU can still overheat and throttle regardless.

And Will It overheat even if im on Desktop with no programms opened?

No. But if it gets hot enough, it will throttle and you'll get worse FPS.

And when its Hot enough?

80 degrees? 90?

Ofc in Celsius,i wont use inferior measurements like uhhh farenhait

I believe Intel CPU's throttle at 90 degrees C, and somewhere around 95 degrees C for Ryzen per what I've seen from an Overclockers UK forum post, though a lot of Reddit users that run Ryzen are saying they throttle around 75 degrees C.

I Guess a i7 from a laptop wont reach 90 degrees if i play csgo all low 800*600 or 640*480 🤔

CPU doesn't care about resolution.
And, infact, CPU will work harder, because lower resolution produces more FPS, and for every frame drawn, the CPU has to send data to the GPU about it.

So, limit FPS.

Well, yeah i always limit the fps

60 Hz :v
Limiting the fps to between 60-75 can greatly help reduce cpu/gpu temps if the laptop isn't total crap with bad cooling to begin with. Use MSI Afterburner + RTSS to limit fps

Game res and settings have no real bearing on cpu/gpu temps, the refresh rate can. But unless your laptop has a 120+ hz Display, that shouldn't be an issue.

You can't disable throttling, it's a built in feature you can't get at to make changes to.

A bios might offer a warning or shutdown temp setting, but that has nothing to do with actual thermal throttling. Modern cpus also have a built in feature to force shutdown the system if the throttle isn't working or temps aren't staying low enough, which effectively is an actual overheat at that point and the system would shut off. If this ever occurs, allow a good 5-15 mins cool down before powering it back on, or it may just not display anything, or shutdown again on its own as the bios pre-post check the temps.

Back in the days before AMD had power throttling, and the clear reason why you don't want to turn it off, even if you could.

You are thinking of disabling power throttling to get more FPS, but also locking/limiting your FPS?

Well,i lock my FPS in 180,but i cant be on 180 all the time
