CPU and GPU Temp so high (MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE - i7 8750H + GTX 1060 6GB)
Due to Covid outbreak in my country i cannot take my laptop to get Warrenty claimed. Few months ago, they have serviced my laptop and replaced thermal paste. After couple of weeks again i have noticed it is heating again and thermal throttling. Any thing that i can do without opening it?

You can try undervolting. It's a common solution.

Mostly CPU temp above 94 degrees and GPU around 80 when playing games like Dota 2. GPU heat increases up to 90 when playing games like COD WarZone, AC Origins etc.

laptop cooling pad
use an aircompressor to clean its vents

how to?

BIOS. It involves lowering voltage until temperatures are better but no so much that it causes instability at the stock clocks.

there is no option to undervolt in BIOS.

No voltage settings in BIOS at all? It's not called undervolt in BIOS. Its something you do.

Nope. No voltage settings.

Nope. No voltage settings.

Then your only options are to use a cooling pad and frankly suck it up if you don't want to basically gimp the CPU by turning off turbo and other things.

That's normal. Doesn't throttle until 100 C.

When playing high demand games like AC Origins, GTA V, COD, etc. it goes upto 97-98.

All you can really do that won't hold back performance is get a cooling pad.

These situations are exactly why I don't recommend "gaming" laptops, because most of them can hardly game due to throttling issues, and the CPUs are mostly awful compared to the desktop version, but you're still paying desktop price.

I don't see any performance drop. But I'm afraid if it can reduce life spam of the CPU. I will be getting a desktop PC with a Ryzen in an year as my GPU is outdated.
