They only consume as much power as they actually need, actually.
Computers make up so little of the world's CO2 production, it's the industries at fault, not general users.
99% of users don't even upgrade every year.
You are literally making excuses to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to people who spend more than you want them to. It's pathetic. You are blowing the environmental issue way out of proportion, far worse than Greta.
Also, since the pandemic halted the majority of production and human activity outdoors in general, certain areas of the environment have actually improved, especially in heavily polluted industrial areas. Everyone's at home, using power, and yet pollution is going down.
HMMMMMMMMMM.
EDIT: And a lot of the power being used is from clean sources.
"it's pathetic" so is afking in BDO.
There you go again, literally no valid argument left so you take 10 minutes constructing a two second insult. Exactly my point.
You play games 95% of the time. What the hell do you do while afk'ing in Black desert nothing?
What I do in my free time is none of your business. No matter what I say, you're just going to be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as always anyway. Have a nice night.
Hahaha. Definitely childish. You know how an adult would handle having their PC criticised?
"Oh I can see your point you are right" or
"Why do you think me spending so much money on a PC is a problem"? THOSE are ADULT responses.
The useless shut-in is real.
But that would be sacrilegious. Product's insistence to resort to blindly insulting when he has no point left to argue about is entertaining, particularly because he clearly loves to argue with people with less experience that would have a much harder time seeing him for what he actually is.
First things first, I'm pretty sure I told you before that your point has sense to it. However, it's clear that the people you interrogate for having nicer systems didn't want your scathing input based entirely on a valid opinion.
I say it's a valid opinion, because it is. The earth's environment does matter, and the human race is destroying it for profit, but you're focusing all of your hatred and blame on the wrong people. It's not the general end user of computer hardware to blame for it, and even if EVERY citizen in the world practised a more green lifestyle, it wouldn't change anything, and do you know why?
The source of environmental destruction is at the industrial level, not the consumer level. Pollution exploded when the industrial age began, people were still polluting before then but it was never nearly as bad. You hear a lot about pollution from plastic in the ocean caused by the consumers, but you rarely hear about pollution from the industry, because it's kept under wraps. They have the money and means to cover it up consistently for decades, and they can bribe politicians into letting things slide, which they pretty much all do.
Lastly, that doesn't give you any right to do what you were doing in the "Share your computer specs" thread, which was nothing more than basically interrogating people about why they bought an HEDT CPU, and then just berating them when they didn't give an answer that you saw befitting of the CPU choice they made. They aren't going to change the CPU for at least 5 years as that's what the majority of people keep their specs for, and you can't assume they're apart of the 1% that actually does, because they aren't. You're not some god that knows what they're thinking, you're a simple human like the rest of us with a strong rationality against pollution but with your guns pointed at the wrong target and committing friendly fire.
I do literally all of my own chores, not that it's even relevant. Exactly my point, when you have nothing else to argue, you just turn to insults. It's entertaining to know that I pretty much defeated you yet again, so you get mad and try to break me down. But at the end of the day, I still know that I'm better than you are.
Keep believing that. To me you make up a numerically insignificant opinion contributing a tiny value.
All you have to do is open your eyes. With the industries mostly incapacitated due to COVID-19, pollution is literally dropping in affected areas. Air that was previously hazardous is now much less so.
The consumer is the end result and an indirect cause as we allow it to continue, not the direct cause. Attack the actual cause.
American cyclical rampant consumption.

Not even close.
I'm not American, don't live in America, and never plan to.
I literally keep a habit of turning things off and unplugging them if I'm not using them, I avoid using air conditioning, I make use of recycling and compost, etc.
Guaranteed that I use less energy and leave a lower footprint than the majority of Americans, even though I have a more powerful PC than most, especially since newer hardware from AMD is more energy efficient than ever.
