Maximum pre-rendered frames question (in Nvidia inspector)
Aside from input lag, can there be any disadvantage in putting this setting at 8 (I’m trying to improve fps for a cpu bottleneck)?

Can setting it to “application controlled” yield better fps than setting it to 8?

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about. But Autumn is not correct, because I don't see any evidence here. So I'm not discussing with you without evidence.
You provide no evidence of your own but demand it? Interesting . Here's one example of being able to Reduce /lower input lag. https://youtu.be/7CKnJ5ujL_Q
You have just proved me right that input lag can't be reduced but it can be lower.

That is word related to reduce, not a synonym.

The best advice I can offer you is don't pay attention to me.

Oh jame you're pretentious behaviour is getting out of hand , we have all been over this with you . Please try to listen and maybe just maybe you might learn something but I know that's beyond the realm of possibility at this point . Lower and reduce essentially mean the same thing , you can spin it how ever you like to try to score cheap points but ultimately you are wrong.

That doesn't mean I'm wrong. Reduced is past tense, but lower is not. So please stop arguing with me.

We are done here . You are now resorting to putting words in my mouth. Not once did I say "reduced". Take you're own advice and stop arguing with every.single.person that corrects you on this PUBLIC fourm.

They don't essentially mean the same thing. They do mean the same thing - that's what a synonym is.

At no point did anyone mention REDUCED.
You said REDUCE, which is synonymous with LOWER. A synonym is a word that has the same meaning as another word.
Usage of the word depends on the rest of the sentence, or user preference.
''I'm going to lower the volume.'' - ''I'm going to reduce the volume.''
They mean the exact same thing, they are the same thing.

To add onto this:

"I reduced the volume," is the same as, "I lowered the volume."

They mean literally the same thing. If you google the word, "reduce," one of the synonyms is lower.

You're obviously listening, because you're responding. If you have a problem with people correcting your obvious mistakes and misinformation, you have only one of two choices:

1) Ignore it and continue to be stubborn and so narcissistic that you can't accept when you're wrong
2) Accept that you made a mistake and move on

Looks like you always choose option 1.

Wow if any of you are adults... you are so juvenile. Doesn't surprise me though so many gamers are little man children. Only have to look at many adult "streamers" to know this is fact...

Anyone that even slightly ticks me off because I lack the patience or care to address them there is the "Block all communications button" Much more productive than being dragged into unproductive circlejerk arguments.
