cant log in to xfinity modem after factory reset

i did a factory reset, and put 10.0.0.1 in my web browser to log in to the modem like i usually did, but now it takes me to this new page that refuses to load, it looks like this https://imgur.com/Aj5Vqft now my home internet is useless and i've just been using xfinity wifi, i have a phone that can connect to xfinity wifi without logging in so i've just been using that for tethering.

Connect to the modem directly via ethernet lan cable.

Try using internet explorer or another browser (without addons)

Yes, always use private browser mode to ensure no addons. And it helps to always use IE or Edge for such things as this.

wait about 30min for it to fully reboot
the internet may work, but it may still be doing stuff in the background before it loads the web ui

its an xfinity rental, i reset it yesterday, log in page still goes into an infinite loading loop like the imgur picture, doesnt even react to disconnecting my internet, tried internet explorer and microsoft edge and it didnt change anything

Did you power it off during the reset? give that a shot if you haven't. There have been times where I tried to fix my internet and ended up calling them up and the ALWAYS tell me to power it off and disconnect from my modem and sure enough leaving it powered off for a couple seconds then turning it on ends up getting it working.

tried unplugging it and plugging it back in after waiting, still nothing, im starting to think its something on comcast's end, they changed stuff and now it doesnt work

That wouldn't affect the modem login since that's a local page on the actual modem.

Try 10.1.10.1 then username and password. (defaults are admin and password).

The IP, login and pw should be printed on a sticker on the modem, when the modem has been reset and you need to login and make changes, which is always something ever user should do, never leave the defaults, not even the IP at the factory default.

Again bring up Edge or Chrome browser and go to the options and then bring up a Private browser window. Private mode (or Ingognito) does not remember or log anything and it will not allow any browser addons or extensions that could interfere with such a webpage.
