Game audio playing through mic problem
Sennheiser GSP 300
Realtek HD Audio Manager

Purchased this headset a while back. Great audio. Has a pink and green wire, one for mic, one for sound.

For some reason when i use my headset and open OBS for example, i can see my mic jumping and repeating what the audio is doing and it causes people to hear their own voice in voice chat.

Turned off all other mics and headsets to make sure mine is the only one being used.

In Realtek audio manager i ticked ''Seperate all input jacks as input devices'' to see if that would help but it didn't.

Nor did ticking ''Tie up same type of input jacks, i.e. line - in or microphone, as an input device.

Lots and lots of videos, threads made on this but i couldn't find any real fix.

Any advice appreciated. It's a great headset and i'd love to use it in group chat

In OBS it should show two mic volumes, playback and recording, mute the playback one.

i was using OBS just as an example cause i can see the the game audio and mic level. Just playing normally with no OBS people are still hearing game audio through my mic

Have you connected your headset through the front jacks of your PC? Those usually have really lousy shielding causing interference. Which results in stuff like this.
Try the rear jacks directly on the mainboard/soundcard.

Yea disconnect the front audio header from the motherboard. It can easily allow all sorts of interference and other cross-talk to occur as most of those on most cases are not yielded.
