why would you suggest a 2600? the 1600 af is faster and 40$ cheaper.

The 2600 is faster by ~1%... The 1600 AF is literally just a refreshed 1600, basically the same as the 2600 in almost every single aspect.
OK then give me the fuc kin link, I just said I couldn't see a sale for it on google

What does it matter? If he said he gets it, chances are he gets something like it.
So why not just recommend a monitor instead of being pedantic and questioning everything?
Do you know the answer?

This is the 1600-AF.
The -AF is just the last few letters in the part number, so it technically still falls under the same name, but if you look, this is a 12nm part, the original 1600/x was a 14nm part.

My goodness this board sometimes.
OP comes in asking for best budget 144hz monitor. Gets told to upgrade computer instead and challenged on what he says is his FPS in his #1 played game.
I know, I don't understand it.

im not sure how you expect to hit 144fps with a 3200g.

like what games? minecraft? cs-go?
anything AAA and or recent wont see much higher then 60-80
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkH3wKH8dzs
should consider upgrading
Depends on the game, but it's entirely possible in a lot of games.

Best is a bit subjective; do you care for monitor colour accuracy/contrast ratios?

Or are you only intrested in latency?

What is your budget?

And, I assume you want adaptive sync?
thanks man i was think the same thing

all i asked was what would be the best cheap monitor im not up to upgrade that much yet and i get stable frames on most games i play over 144fps so there would be no reason to.

Given that the games he's played recently - CSGO, TF2, and Rocket league - are all really easy to run. I think it's pretty obvious.
But, you do you.

Show me a link to the "af" model, i have trouble finding it, and i only found the regular ryzen 5 1600 model which performs less than the 2600.:csgo_loser::steamfacepalm:

yea there is a reason to upgrade. that cpu is slow and won't be hitting 144fps in anything other then Esports titles.

but alright. my friend bought this monitor a few months ago and has been happy with it .

then that monitor is alright, other then size, bezels and response time and gsync or free sync, most 144hz monitors are very similar.
