CPU Temperature Software

I was wondering, is there a good software for monitoring CPU/GPU temps in game? I was trying to use speccy, but it devours my CPU and I'm not sure it's got correct temperatures.

Edit: I also had to tab out every time and it made for inaccurate temperatures during pivotal moments.

MSI Afterburner + RTSS (Installs with MSI AB)

It allows you to display hardware readings in-game via overlay.
It's very accurate, doesn't harm performance, and RTSS has loads of neat features.

MSI Afterburner + RivaTuner Statistics Server (which comes with Afterburner) is the best option for monitoring temperatures while playing, using an on-screen display.

Other programs like HWinfo64 can work but if you tab out of the game, temperatures improve as the load is lessened (since it's not focusing on the game when you do that), and never use more than one hardware monitoring software at the same time because it can create problems, the worst of which being a blue-screen error.

With HWInfo you can still reset the values before you launch a game and then later look at max temp readings alongside the time bar.

Get a case fan controller with temp readout. Although positioning the probe can be tricky.
