It seems TV are pushing quality picture and monitors are just pushing Hz.
Page detailing G-Sync versions. Yes you want Freesync but it'd give you a better Idea of what the display can and can't do.

I think I will have to wait for a while. I think my best option is a TV that is optimised for gaming when I can get one in a size under 49 inches.
G-Sync compatible monitors don't have the G-Sync hardware component but they are Freesync displays that meet requirements to allow G-Sync to work. In theory that list should all be Freesync display with no G-Sync tech inside. Can't confirm that though and I do actually suspect The G-Sync Ultimate may have the Tech and not be Freesync compatible.
Hoping you could use it to find monitors that meet your requirements and they are Freesync when checked out.
